

Youth Affairs Minister Paula Bennett and Rugby World Cup 2011 chief executive Martin Sneddon were among the speakers at a school leadership forum in Christchurch yesterday.
Year 12 students from 22 Christchurch secondary schools attended the one-day Emerging Leadership Conference at Christ's College, held in conjunction with the Sir Peter Blake Trust. Group workshops on building leadership and teamwork skills were run by the police, Armed Forces, YMCA, Outward Bound, Leadership New Zealand and Toastmasters.
Lady Pippa Blake and entertainer Oscar Kightley also spoke at the event. Earlier TVNZ chairman Sir John Anderson was awarded the inaugural Christ's College Leadership Medal.
