Welcome to the April update.
The
Trust maintains its focus on spreading the word about Sir Peter
Blake, as a leader and as an environmentalist. Red Socks Day helps
tie these two elements together to celebrate the Care for our
Coast programme in schools. The programme encompasses learning
about the importance of the marine environment and inspiring children
to look after it, as well as learning about Sir Peter and the
significance of his 'lucky red socks'.
Red Socks Day - Friday 18th April
If you would like to run an in-house Red Socks Day to support the Trust, please contact lauraf@sirpeterblaketrust.org or
purchase a pair of official Sir Peter Blake Trust socks and support our
Care for our Coast programme. Adult socks are $10.00 and children's
$7.00 per pair. Visit www.sirpeterblaketrust.org. Thank
you to Argyll East school in Hawkes Bay, for this great
photo. They are celebrating their clean up of the Tukituki river
mouth with a Red Socks Day with the help of local Westpac branch
staff.

Care for our Coast
Westpac

encouraging staff and clients to fully participate and are also
committing to work with schools on the Care for our Coast programme.
