Speaker: Prof. Jeremy Waldron, of the School of Law at New York University, is the author of more than a hundred published articles and essays on legal and political philosophy. His work on theories of rights, constitutionalism, democracy, property, torture, and homelessness are well know. Maxim Institute's mission is to foster ideas and leadership that enable justice, freedom and compassion to flourish in New Zealand.

Speaker: David McConnell, 2006 Sir Peter Blake Emerging Leader and Eisenhower Fellowship recipient 2008
Topic: The fellowship identifies 25 emerging leaders annually from around the world and takes them to America for two months to meet top leaders in their respective fields to enhance their professional capabilities, broaden their contacts and deepen their perspectives. David will discuss his insights from his US trip where he visited 12 cities and attended 60 meetings with various business, civic and professional leaders.
